We are going to play a game: that of differences.
Do you know what the difference is between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers? Neither team won a single playoff game due to their anemic offense.
After all, let’s face it: Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman didn’t do anything in the playoffs, which is similar to the Jays’ stars.
Do you know what the difference is between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers? None: in both cases, no change will be made to the manager.
Even though the Dodgers failed as an organization again this season, according to president Andrew Friedman, everyone will be back.
That includes GM Brandon Gomes, who confirmed he declined an interview for the position of head of baseball operations for the Red Sox.
The club obviously wants to improve its rotation (in addition to retaining the services of Clayton Kershaw) and replace free agents who leave, but otherwise it’s similar.
What I don’t understand is that the club just says that things went badly without explaining anything… and changes almost nothing afterwards.
Is it because the big change that is coming cannot yet be explained to representatives of the media? #ShoheiOhtani
Dave Roberts has a history of not performing too well in the playoffs and making questionable decisions. I don’t know if bringing him back was the right thing to do.
Remember that the Dodgers have been making the playoffs since 2013, but the club has only won the World Series once, during the shortened 2020 season.
Is it sufficient?
