The Boston Red Sox are currently living with negative feedback from fans who are unhappy to know that Xander Bogaerts is gone.
With Mookie Betts leaving three years ago and Rafael Devers a year away from freelance, let’s just say fans are asking management for answers.
Even though Chaim Bloom and his band knew this was coming, clearly they have to feel the pressure building.
And they know they’re in a tough division.
Is it this set of factors that makes the club want to hit a good shot and try to redeem themselves?
Maybe.
According to what Jon Heyman reports, the Red Sox have their noses in the Dansby Swanson file and he would be seriously considered by the club.
That would keep Trevor Story at second base.
Since Trea Turner, Xander Bogaerts and Carlos Correa signed monstrous contracts with the Phillies, Padres and Giants, not only has it raised prices for Swanson, but it has also created a sense of urgency: there is no what a guy.
And since it will be more “affordable” than the others, it will be in demand.
The Dodgers, Cubs, Braves and Twins are often cited in the record. Will he decide in the next few weeks? Next days?
That remains to be seen.
