Cubs: the reaction of the year for Christopher Morel after his winning circuit

Last night, the Chicago Cubs received a visit from the Chicago White Sox. The two teams of the city clash infrequently and inevitably, there is a rivalry that sets in.

Right now, with the White Sox struggling and the Cubs battling for the playoffs, it’s not hard to figure out who the king of Chicago is.

That said, the game got off to a bad start for the Cubs and in the second half of the game the Cubs trailed.

Then, in the ninth, Christopher Morel (a good youngster who can play in several positions) came up to bat. In one fell swoop, a 3-1 deficit became a 4-3 win.

And as you can see, the guy was happy.

With the emotions in the mat, he began to take off his clothes as he ran around the bases. Returned to home plate, he no longer had all his equipment.

After celebrating the win at home plate, the Cubs player quickly took off his jersey to find himself in a pot belly. I think he slept well last night.

When we look at the standings, we realize the importance of the victory for the Cubs, who will have to fight without Marcus Stroman for a little while. The race is intense in the National.

Besides Milwaukee, San Francisco and Miami, the teams in the playoff hunt have all won their last game or are on a winning streak.

The Dodgers even stuck 10 in a row, which is notable.

There is currently a triple virtual tie for last place giving access to the playoffs. The Cubs, Reds and Marlins are all close…and the DBacks are just 1.5 games behind them.

San Francisco (1.5) and Philadelphia (3.5) have a lead that can dwindle quickly. It’s the same for Milwaukee (2.5) in the powerhouse.

Good luck predicting, in mid-August, who will make the playoffs in the National. It will be quite interesting to follow.

round 10
  • The Yankees are playing under .500 this late in the season for the first time since 1995.
  • Quite a marble flight for Fernando Tatis Jr.
  • Reid Detmers had a game without a run or hit after seven innings.
  • A Shohei Ohtani homer… in an Angels win? It happens sometimes?
