Craig Kimbrel won’t be the Phillies’ number one reliever

With just six weeks to go before pitchers and receivers report to their respective teams, the Philadelphia Phillies aren’t expected to add any parts to their roster as it appears to be complete.

Among the additions during the offseason is that of Craig Kimbrel in order to replenish a bullpen that needed it.

However, the 34-year-old won’t necessarily act as the number one reliever, despite wanting to prove otherwise.

It is that the Canadian manager Rob Thomson does not plan to change his strategy which will have led his people in the World Series.

“I never really named a number one reliever. »

The Phillies have had 11 different Gunners in their ranks who have recorded a save in 2022, a franchise record. Only the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers beat them last season.

To add to the fact that Kimbrel will not be THE closer of the formation of Pennsylvania, it should be mentioned that his signing is a bet, considering his mediocre performances for a year.

It will be necessary to wish for the Phillies fans that this wager $10 million will pay more than signing Corey Knebel last year.
