If there’s one reason for the Diamondbacks’ success this season, it’s the way Corbin Carroll plays in the outfield.
In addition to being a good outfielder, the Seattle native dominates at bat.
Right now the player is hitting .291 and his .922 OPS is really excellent. He has 47 RBIs on the clock and he has put the ball in 88 safe places.
We understand why he deserves his place in Seattle, at the All-Star Game.
All that to say that the player, who was in uniform yesterday despite being injured the day before, stole two bases and more to score twice and put the ball in a safe place twice.
That makes him at least 15 homers (18) and at least 25 stolen bases (26), which is unheard of for a rookie before the All-Star Game in sports history.
Of course, his detractors will say that the bullets are boosted now and it’s easier to steal bases with the new rules.
It’s true.
That being said, no one is doing it in 2023 (except him) and the fact remains that despite everything, it is a remarkable achievement for a young person who is in his first months in the show.
Reminder: if the Diamondbacks are so well placed in a National League with an unusual ranking, it is still largely thanks to him.
You don’t have to take it away.
I hope he will open his eyes at the All-Star Game because even if the game doesn’t count, it’s still a great opportunity to be seen. After all, he plays in Arizona, don’t forget that…
