Cities in the United States directly affected by the work stoppage

The labor dispute in MLB means that training camps have not yet started.

And God knows how much fans love this time of year. The opportunity is always good to follow the development of a young person or the performance of a particular player.

On the one hand, the players suffer from all this brouhaha. On the other hand, the supporters also suffer from the situation. And let’s not forget the cities where the training complexes of each of the teams on the circuit are located.

Whether we like it or not, the lockout has a financial impact on certain cities in the United States. This is particularly the case in Tampa, where the Jays stadium is located.

As we can read in the article above, the Florida Sports Foundation argues that boot camps have an annual economic impact of $687.1 million in Florida.

Although the amount seems exaggerated, the true passion for spring training is immeasurable. And that’s not to mention the money invested by some states on the teams’ training complexes. The one in Dunedin is the perfect example.

It’s a shame, honestly. Fans deserve better with everything that’s happened in the past two years.

When is a normal MLB season? That’s the hundred dollar question.
