Charles Leblanc was named MVP of his AAA club in 2022

As you know, Charles Leblanc had some good times in his MLB debut. The Quebecer from Laval plays on a regular basis and his versatility in the infield helps his cause.

He is batting .291 since his recall at the end of July and has already had 39 major league hits.

He has eight in the last week.

Through his game, he makes sure to remain indispensable for his family. Don Mattingly doesn’t exactly have a choice to put his name on the starting lineup.

What helps a youngster to make the leap is when he has success in the minors. Often this carries over into major league baseball.

And Charles was riding very well in the minors (AAA) before going up. In his first season with the Jumbo Shrimp of Jacksonville, he was successful.

The proof? The Giant Prawns named him as the club’s MVP in 2022even though he graduated in the Majors at the end of July.

His .302/.381.503 swipe line shows he didn’t steal it. It’s good to see the Quebecer get such recognition and let’s hope he doesn’t have to return to Jacksonville in 2023.
