Carlos Mendoza named Mets manager | Craig Counsell would leave Milwaukee

The New York Mets have just hired Carlos Mendoza as manager. This is what is circulating among baseball informants at the moment.

He was several races away, but now the Mets chose him. He was the Yankees’ bench coach for four years and with the organization since 2009.

The New York Mets are hiring Carlos Mendoza as their new manager, sources tell ESPN. Mendoza, 43, has served as the New York Yankees’ bench coach for the last four seasons and has been a coach in the organization for the last 15 years.

Does this mean Craig Counsell refused to go to New York? Certainly. And according to what is circulating, he also refused to return to Milwaukee.

According to Ken Rosenthal, he would join a team that already has a manager.
