Being a Dodger is the ideal scenario for Tyler Glasnow

After bidding farewell to Tampa Bay Rays fans, the newest member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tyler Glasnow, spoke about the new chapter of his career. For the native of Santa Clara, California, this transaction bringing him to the Dodgers is the best possible scenario for the rest of his career, nothing less!

From the stuff to the mound

Glasnow is more than happy to join the Dodgers and it's a safe bet that the signing of a five-year contract and 136.5 million of last Friday which came with the exchange confirmed and enhanced his joy.

For LA, they absolutely needed a starting pitcher with the presence of the former member of the Rays and Pirates. The 30-year-old, who has one of the best curveballs in the Majors, is healthy and has a wealth of experience. Above all, it provides a weapon of choice within a rotation that is a bit fragile and not yet sealed.

Yes, they just signed Ohtani. However, as we all know, the latter will not launch in 2024, at least! Will Clayton Kershaw be back next season? No one knows and, if so, his return to action won't happen until mid-season. Walker Buehler is good, excellent even, however, his workload is controlled and he has already undergone two Tommy John operations. Even Dustin May, who it seems the club still doesn't know how to use (starter, reliever?), is recovering from surgery and won't be back in competition until the end of the season.

Related to all this, there is no need to search from noon to two p.m. why the Dodgers are interested in acquiring the services of free agent Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Dodgers are attractive

We agree here, the Los Angeles Dodgers have always been an attractive club for any baseball player. Firstly, there are worse things than playing in the state of California, with the Californian lifestyle, the beaches, the weather, the glam, etc. Then, the city of Los Angeles itself is incredible and has everything to please, no need to praise its attractions. Finally, the Dodgers are a prestigious team, not only in the MLB, but in all sports across the planet.

If we extrapolate the thing a little further, the Dodgers of 2024 and subsequent years will be spectacular on the field and will thrill the fans with excitement. The club wants to win and is giving itself the means to get there. The beauty of it is that they are far from having finished their off-season shopping and the club will most likely be even better on paper when the next training camp begins!
