Another important game streak for the Blue Jays

This title is likely to return on a recurring basis by the end of the 2022 campaign.

And for good reason. The Blue Jays will fight until the very end for a ticket to the playoffs.

Starting Tuesday night, the Toronto team will play a short interleague series against the Phillies in Philadelphia. Ross Stripling will be the starting pitcher for Game 1, while Kevin Gausman is expected to start Wednesday’s duel. Facing Zach Wheeler, it will be a very good duel.

In the case of Stripling, he has been a major asset in recent weeks, maintaining, among other things, a 2.45 earned run average since mid-August. Added to this are six quality starts.

In Philadelphia, we notice the Brewers in our rear view mirror, even if they lost their last two games. That’s double for the Phillies.

Beyond these two duels of starting pitchers, the Blue Jays must seek victories. They will face a formation that is particularly difficult these days: the Rays.

This series will be doubly important as both teams battle to hold onto their playoff spots in the American.

As of Tuesday, the Blue Jays hold a 1.5 game lead over Seattle and only one over the Rays. The series will therefore be important.

The Blue Jays will then return home for a series against the Eastern Division leaders, the Yankees. Toronto fans are hoping their favorites will still be in playoff position when they enter the final stretch at home.
