Things are brewing in the MLB.

According to what Jeff Passan reports, the New York Yankees have acquired the services of outfielder Alex Verdugo from the Red Sox.

The three pitchers are players who are not really important. The Yankees didn't pay the full amount for Verdugo, we understand.

But still. Verdugo is completely disliked by Yankees fans. They will have to learn to love it for the good of the team.

I'm going to boo him every time I see him on my TV.

The Yankees let a guy like Harrison Bader go last year. Instead of trying to keep him long term, the club chose… this.

We can therefore wonder what this means for Juan Soto. After all, now the club has several outfielders on hand.

The problem? Outfielders Oscar Gonzalez, Alex Verdugo and Giancarlo Stanton do not play center. Aaron Judge can… but not full time, ideally.

How do you think Soto can add to that? The question is valid.

This really isn't ideal for the Yankees, who seem to have fallen back on a lower quality option instead of waiting.

Let's also remember that the new member of the Yankees has already quarreled with fans in the Bronx.

  • The Blue Jays are ready to do anything for Shohei Ohtani.
  • The Red Sox among the teams that want Lucas Giolito.
  • One more pitcher in Chicago.
  • Trevor Bauer is not in demand in the MLB.
  • A bigger mass in Pittsburgh?
