For the past few weeks, Albert Pujols has been attracting attention in the MLB as he was getting closer and closer to the 700 homers plateau. After all, we are talking about a fairly rare brand: only Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth have achieved the feat.
Going into his game against the Dodgers today, Pujols had 698 long balls on the clock. His night at work started with a strikeout, but that didn’t stop the Cardinals legend: He then hit two long balls, including his 700th of his career.
