Aaron Judge: The Giants are not just extras in the file

In about a week, Aaron Judge should have made his choice. This is currently the rumor in MLB about the outfielder.

Is this really going to happen? Possibly.

After all, the Judge would like to settle his case quickly so that his team can surround him properly for the rest of things.

Obviously, possibility #1 is to see him return to the Yankees. That’s what everyone (or almost) hopes for and his club has offered him 300 million good reasons to return home.

But does that mean that the Giants, the other big club in the Derby, is to be forgotten? No, it doesn’t mean that.

In fact, according to information from Jon Morosi, he certainly does not expect to see #99 return to the Yankees with his eyes closed.

The way he sees it right now, it’s pretty much 50/50 between the Yankees and the Giants for his services going into the next few years.

Obviously what Judge wants is to win. If he signs for SF, he will want the assurance that the club can build a great club around him.

And that’s okay. After all, he surely asked the Yankees the same thing.

What is important here is that the bidding war will be fierce, but the outfielder must consider his priorities. He shouldn’t lose sight of that.

Does he want to stay in New York, he who lives in Tampa Bay during the off season? Does he want to return to California, his native state? Does he want to win? Does he want money? Does he want to be a Yankees immortal?

Only he has the answers to these questions.
