Aaron Judge and Nestor Cortes Jr. sidelined

The New York Yankees took on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the series between the two MLB giants. This now allows them to have a positive record against the other 29 Major League Baseball teams in their history.

However, this did not come without cost. Indeed, captain Aaron Judge did not play the last game against the California team after giving heavily against the right field fence in Saturday’s duel.

The Judge would then have injured a toe and expects to undergo an X-ray or an MRI today in the Bronx.

However, the main interested party did not want to speculate on the condition of his toe, whether it was broken or not.

It’s hard to say. I’ve never broken a toe, so we’ll see. We’ll see what the tests say. I don’t want to do anything right now.

Let’s say that doesn’t bode well, especially since manager Aaron Boone seemed puzzled last night (Sunday). And when the skipper des Bomardiers does not want to say more, it is very often a bad sign.

And as if that weren’t enough, starting pitcher Nestor Cortes Jr. will most likely find himself on the injured list with a left shoulder problem. The left-handed gunner will also undergo an MRI and the duration of his absence will be assessed afterwards.

The Yankees hope it doesn’t go past the minimum time, just like in Judge’s case.
