Aaron Judge adds two long balls: here he is at 59 in total

Aaron Judge woke up this morning and he chose to make circuit racing (against history) more interesting than ever. Between Albert Pujols and him, there is history to write.

In Milwaukee, he hit his 58th home run of the campaign.

Then, later in the game, he hit his 59th homer of the season in front of Milwaukee fans, who started shouting “MVP”…for an opponent standing in their way to the playoffs.

Fascinating.

Each appearance at bat therefore becomes can’t miss baseball since his next home run will be his 60th. He will then equal Babe Ruth and he will be one behind Roger Maris.

And 60 is a nice set.

It was his 11th homer game this season, which is an MLB single-season record. Another record.

He’s on track to hit an all-American record 65 homers and drive in 139 runs. He is also, in history, among the best long-pitch hitters in history after his club’s first 146 games.

Note that in the race for the Triple Crown, he leads in home runs, RBIs and he is only one point behind the average.

Luis Arraez and Xander Bogaerts, who hit his 1,400th career hit, are also among the American League’s good hitters.

It is simply historic what is happening right now. He’s redefining baseball one swing at a time…in a roster that isn’t optimal right now.

Remember that he will be a free agent this winter.

  • The Blue Jays lost 5-4. Jordan Romano sabotaged a rare save at the Rogers Center… and we’ll be watching George Springer’s elbow.
  • Tyler Glasnow is getting back on track.
  • Juan Soto hit a long ball.
