Can you bring your own golf cart to ocean lakes?

Guests are permitted to bring their privately owned electric golf car to Ocean Lakes – simply register it at Ocean Lakes Golf Cars by showing proof of the proper liability insurance (learn more here). Please read the Golf Car Policies – they were developed to promote Safety (our number one “StarFish” Value).

Similarly, how old do you have to be to drive a golf cart in Ocean Lakes? Drivers must be at least 16 years old and have a VALID driver’s license in their possession to operate a golf car in Ocean Lakes (also SC State Law). You must be 21 years old to sign a rental contract.

How do you get to Ocean Lakes?

All vehicles in Ocean Lakes MUST have a vehicle/car pass. Our Security team monitors every vehicle for a car pass or Annual Lease Site decal as they drive through the Gate into Ocean Lakes.

Does Ocean Lakes allow tent camping?

Tent only camping is permitted on any site (i.e., when you do not utilize a camper). Ocean Lakes is unique from many other campgrounds because it can accommodate the latest and largest luxury RVs, including the sprawling awnings and numerous slide-outs.

How old do you have to be to rent a house at Ocean Lakes?

Overflow parking is available at the South Gate area (located on Spring Lane across from our Maintenance area). It is patrolled by our Security officers, however, space there is limited as well. Campsites and rental sites (through OLP) include 2 car passes per site.

Check-out 11 AM/Check-in 3 PM. Site not guaranteed to be available for early check-in prior to 3 PM. Two overnight cars limited per site on all campsites.
