At least two months of absence for Derek Lively II!

This should put an end to the transfer rumors that have recently appeared around Daniel Gaffordwhile the Mavericks were said to be ready to exchange their pivot for an outside defender.

The former Wizards may indeed be particularly useful in the coming weeks since Derek Lively II joined the infirmary for two to three months ! The interior sophomore (20 years old, 2m16) suffers from a fracture in his right foot, and he will therefore not see the field again until the end of March, at best…

Absent for three matches, the former Duke did not think he would be absent for too long, but additional examinations revealed the true nature of the problem.

One more glitch in any case in the already complicated season of the Mavericks, forced to juggle injuries, in particular that of Luka Doncic, absent during the last 14 meetings.

Result: 10 defeats out of the 14 matches played without their leader for the reigning finalists, who could however recover their Slovenian conductor in the coming days. What to bounce back from when they fell to 7th place in the conference following their recent poor series, with 23 wins for 20 defeats?
