Joel Embiid still can't get out of the infirmary…

As we approach the halfway point of the season, the first part of the campaign Joel Embiid and Sixers looks like a nightmare. The pivot has only been able to play 13 matches so far, and he will not return straight away…

After missing his team's last six games due to his foot, the MVP participated in training with his teammates as his problem was disappearing. Result of the recovery session? His knee swelled immediately and he went back to the infirmary for 7 to 10 days! He will therefore miss, at a minimum, future trips to the Pacers, the Bucks and the Nuggets.

Above all, he will not have been able to play even a third of the matches in the first half of the season, and his team is still out of the Top 10 in the Eastern Conference, with 15 wins for 24 defeats.

Joel Embiid is far from alone in the Sixers infirmary since Paul George (ankle), Guerschon Yabusele (knee), Kyle Lowry (hip) and KJ Martin (foot), did not participate in the training of the day.
