Christian Watson has probably finished his season. According to NFL Media, the Green Bay Packers receiver is suffering from a torn cruciate knee ligament contracted during the last regular season game against the Bears.
Christian Watson, selected in the second round of the 2022 draft by the Packers, thus completed his best statistical season in terms of meters gained. In 15 games in 2024, he signed 29 receptions for 620 yards and 2 touchdowns. His injury curtails his playoff campaign this year but also probably part of the 2025 season, where the latter will seek a new contract.
Without Christian Watson… and Jordan Love?
The receiver's injury is annoying for his franchise in its quest for a title. However, Green Bay can count on a very strong group at the position. Jayden Reed (WR) and Tucker Kraft (TE) are the cheesehead quarterback's top targets.
It now remains to be seen who this quarterback will be for the first round of the playoffs. Jordan Love (QB) was injured in the same game as Christian Watson. A pain in his right elbow which sidelined him from the end of the match. If the first feedback on this injury is positive, all of Green Bay reaches a decisive verdict. Malik Willis (QB) is Jordan Love's backup if needed.
