Lions – Bills (42-48): Josh Allen’s fireworks

Detroit Lions (12-2) – Buffalo Bills (11-3): 42-48

But who can stop Josh Allen? Its defense perhaps, as evidenced by the 86 points conceded by Buffalo over the last two games. But offensively, the Bills are simply unplayable, led by Josh Allen who surely buried the competition for the MVP title this evening against the Lions.

Buffalo takes the lead

No observation round in this match. On their first drive of the game, the Bills scored a touchdown. The first in a long list of 6 touchdowns. As a symbol, Josh Allen (23/34, 362 yards, 2 touchdowns, 11 races, 68 yards, 2 touchdowns on the ground) is at the conclusion.

The story of this match is not that complicated: The Lions defense is simply incapable of stopping Buffalo (559 yards on offense) which will only punt once in 12 drives.

In the role of luxury sidekick to the superhero Allen: James Cook on the ground (14 races, 105 yards, 2 touchdowns) and Ty Johnson in the air (5 receptions, 114 yards).

Jared Goff has nothing to be ashamed of

Faced with the offensive surge from the visitors, Detroit is trying to keep up. Firing on all cylinders, Jared Goff (38/59, 494 yards, 5 touchdowns) exploits the largesse of a delicate Buffalo defense.

Only 7 points apart at half-time, the Lions remain mathematically in contact. An impressive performance as Detroit's game is one-dimensional, abandoning the usual running mates Jahmyr Gibbs (8 races, 31 yards, 1 touchdown) and David Montgomery (5 races, 4 yards). 15 races for 59 (!) passes, on the other hand, it's a feast for Amon-Ra St. Brown (14 receptions, 193 yards, 1 touchdown).

This game of cat and mouse continues throughout the game.

At the start of the fourth quarter, coach Dan Campbell made a curious decision by attempting an onside kick while Detroit was only 10 points away. Mack Hollins recovers it and brings the ball up to the opposing 5 yards. A small action (touchdown by Ray Davis), and the Bills find themselves at +17. The match is definitely over.

Buffalo therefore suffers Detroit its second defeat of the season, and can continue to hope for first place in the AFC. To do this, we will have to hope for a misstep from the rivals of Kansas City.
