No talks between the Vikings and Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold (QB) only signed for one season with the Vikings. He will be free in March 2025. But with a Minnesota team heading towards the playoffs with a record of 10 wins and only 2 losses, you would think that the two camps would want to stay united. Apparently not at the moment.

ESPN reports that there have yet to be any discussions between the quarterback and the franchise regarding a contract extension.

It must be said that the situation is not simple. The purples selected JJ McCarthy in 10th position in the 2024 Draft. During the summer, Kevin O'Connell even spoke of him as the team's new franchise quarterback. But the rookie injured his knee and found himself in the infirmary for the entire season.

Extending Darnold at a high price would mean making McCarthy wait, especially since Darnold is only 27 years old. This year, he has thrown 23 touchdowns for 10 interceptions.

Bill Belichick ready to say “yes” to North Carolina (and to nepotism)?

Bill Belichick would discuss with the University of North Carolina. And according to The Athletic, both camps are very serious. The coach may be tired of waiting for an NFL opportunity, and a source close to him believes he would be willing to take the North Carolina job if it is officially offered to him. A second meeting took place last Thursday between the two camps. Among the demands of the former Patriots boss? The guarantee that his son Stephen succeeds him…
