If the situation and dynamics of their teams are very different, Saquon Barkley and Joe Burrow have one thing in common. That of having martyred the defenses.
Like his jumping backwards over his opponent in week 9, Barkley had a blast throughout the month. Following performances worthy of an MVP, the Eagles runner flirted with an average of 200 yards per game and 6 touchdowns in four games.
For his part, if Burrow is having a disappointing season on a collective level, individually the quarterback is at the top of his game. An average of 345 yards per game and a record of 12 touchdowns. A weekly fireworks display unfortunately insufficient as the defense takes on water.
Surtain builds an island in Colorado
On the other side of the ball, it was one of the most impactful rookies of the season who stood out. Jonathan Greenard (Edge) shines at the Vikins under the leadership of Brian Flores. In November he compiled 16 tackles including 4 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a deflected pass.
Spearhead of the Broncos defense, Pat Surtain (CB) extinguishes his opponents. Targeted only 17 times out of 140 passing situations, he gave up 9 receptions for only 55 yards. The nightmare of quarterbacks who do everything to avoid throwing at him.
Among the specialists, Jason Sanders particularly stood out with a 100% (13/13 extra point and 10/10 field goals). Only one small miss for the Lions kicker, Jake Bates, who piled up 41 points and made 4 field goals of 50 yards or more.
Among the rookies, Brock Bowers continues his exemplary season. The only beacon in the Vegas night, the tight end is having a record season. Among the Rams, we know how to draft, Braden Fiske had an exceptional month including 5 sacks and 6 tackles for loss.
