Frenchman Jeffrey M'Ba enters the NFL Draft

Frenchman Jeffrey M'Ba declares for the next NFL Draft.

Author of an interesting season despite the poor accounting record of the Purdue Boilemarkers in the NCAA (1 victory – 11 defeats), the defensive tackle is attempting the big leap. This is therefore the start of a long process which will last from now until the end of April.

The deadline to declare himself was set for January 6, 2025. But he still has until February 7, 2025 to withdraw his candidacy. There could be many reasons, but often the main one is that the player has little chance of being drafted.

Jeffrey M'Ba perhaps in the story?

Jeffrey M'Ba therefore succeeds Junior Aho, the last Frenchman to enter the Draft. Playing the same position as him, Aho was unlucky to be drafted. However, the former SMU player is still in the NFL, as he is on the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons today.

This season, despite Purdue's slump, Jeffrey M'Ba started and played all the matches. He recorded 30 tackles, including 1 for loss in 12 games. In a very dense crop of defensive tackles, he will have to work hard to be called up between the 4th and 7th rounds. At 25, his potential remains limited. But, we have already seen NFL players drafted in the 1st round at this age. The proof with Michael Penix Jr. (QB, Falcons).

We therefore hope that he will make the history of French American football by becoming the first French player in history to be drafted.
