Cowboys: hard blow for Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott on the sidelines for a while

Released during the match during his team's defeat against the Falcons, Dak Prescott (QB) could well suffer more than a simple hamstring injury.

NFL Media reports that the injury is more severe than the Cowboys' medical staff imagined during the game. The team is still waiting for the final analyzes to come back to make a decision about the quarterback. However, it is now a certainty that Dak Prescott will miss several games.

Dallas your merciless universe

In an already complicated season from an accounting standpoint (3 wins – 5 losses), Dallas now loses its major element in attack. The quarterback, second in the MVP race last year, had 64.7% pass completions, 1,978 yards and 11 touchdowns for 8 interceptions. Figures below expectations, like his team.

The Cowboys must now make do with Cooper Rush (QB) for an indefinite period. Prescott's designated replacement for 8 years knows the job. In 2022, he had already ensured an honest interim of 5 games with 4 victories for 1051 yards, 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

Be careful though, this time CeeDee Lamb (WR) could also be missing. The star wide receiver is undergoing a battery of medical exams to learn more about a shoulder injury. The successive loss of Prescott and Lamb would deal a fatal blow to the head of Jerry Jones (Owner and General Manager) and his team.
