He had been in the sights of tradeable players for a few weeks, and it was the Chiefs who took the plunge. Finally Josh Uche packs his bags for Kansas City, in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2026 draft recovered by New England as reported by NFL Media.
Josh Uche, specialist in pass rush
At 26 years old, the outside linebacker is a former second-round pick from Michigan in the 2020 draft. An unrestricted free agent this year, he re-signed with the Patriots for one season.
In seven games this year, he has recorded 13 tackles and 2 sacks. In 58 career games he has started four times, for 20.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, and 34 QB hits. Statistically, his best campaign took place in 2022. He had 11.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 9 tackles for loss.
Although still undefeated, Kansas City continues to fill its squad before the transfer deadline. An addition that will fit into the rotation to maintain the pass rush in a defense that is producing great performances this year.
