Green Bay Packers (5-2) – Houston Texans (5-2): 24-22
In a match where no team managed to gain any real ascendancy, where there were 7 changes of leader, victory was only decided in the final moments. Trailing by the score, the Texans produced a final drive of great mastery. Eating the yards and especially the clock, DeMeco Ryans' men regained control on a field goal, leaving less than two minutes for Jordan Love (24/33, 220 yards, 3TD, 2 int) to snatch the victory.
Mission accomplished for the quarterback who gives a victory ball to newcomer Brandon McManus. Converted by former Denver knicker.
Jordan Love in Jameis Winston mode
There's no shortage of entertainment with Jordan Love. Best touchdown thrower in the league despite 2 games of absence, the quarterback is also becoming an accomplished sprinkler. Intercepted on his second pass of the match, he did it again with a forced (and unnecessary) long pass in the middle of the second quarter. Fortunately for Green Bay, in the meantime, he had time to find Tucker Kraft on a laser pass, then Dontayvion Wicks at the edge of the field for two beautiful touchdowns.
But if the Packers attack gives the feeling of being able to score or at least make a big play on each play, it also shines with its irregularity and its lack of imagination on certain plays. Limited to the ground
CJ Stroud off
Limited to 22 yards in the first act, and 86 yards at the end of the game, the Houston quarterback had an unusual afternoon by his standards. Under constant pressure, he had great difficulty finding solutions and targets. Tank Dell silenced, and Diggs with only 23 yards, the absence of Nico Collins resonated loudly in the Texan attack.
Fortunately Mixon (25 races, 115 yards, 2 TDs) managed to maintain the suspense all game. Productive on each carry, he was also extremely effective in the red zone with two touchdowns. Despite a final drive which alone could have earned a victory for the Texans, Houston logically ultimately lost as they seemed to lose most of the match.
