Davante Adams (Raiders) sent to New York Jets

Davante Adams (WR, Raiders) is almost recovered from his hamstring injury, and he will wear a new jersey for his return to the field. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Mediathe Jets and the Raiders have agreed to exchange the star receiver. The compensation is a conditional choice of the 3rd round of the Draft, who can become a 2nd round pick depending on the player's performance.

Suffering from a hamstring injury, Davante Adams has only played in three games since the start of the season. He caught 18 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown. He leaves the quagmire of the Raiders after two good seasons (2,660 yards and 22 touchdowns).

The Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams duo reformed

The first delighted by this news must be Aaron Rodgers. In eight seasons in Green Bay, the duo terrorized NFL defenses, racking up 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns through the air. During this period, Davante Adams led the league with 18 touchdowns in 2020, while Green Bay finished 13-3 and Rodgers won the MVP title.

After the change of coach and the placing on the transfer market of Haason Reddick, this is a new strong movement from the New York Jets front office. The New Yorkers are continuing their “All-in” strategy and hope that the arrival of Adams will energize the attack. They will need it quickly, as their start is sluggish (2-4).
