Basket4Ballers created an event a little over a month ago by exceptionally changing hats to create its own signature shoe, the B4B Origins! The French shop went from reseller to creator to design its first model from A to Z, a clash between two worlds reminiscent of “Big Bang” which gave birth to a little nugget.
The B4B Origins arouses curiosity with an original style, with the cosmic energy of the “Big Bang” for inspiration. It stands out in particular for its choice of four colors to create your own pair, plain or mismatched. The model has a classic but effective sole, designed to provide the best support, and appreciable support.
Beyond its daring choice of colors, the “B4B Origins” also makes the difference with its quality/price ratio with a selling price set at 100 euros. Lots of advantages which make it one of the good surprises of the start of the school year.
GENERAL COMFORT
The B4B Origins fits without too much difficulty, although it should be noted that you should aim for a size larger to achieve optimal comfort. The collar and tongue are well padded.
General comfort is good, even if the midsole is not one of the softest on the market. The objective was to propose a rather dynamic model and we completely agree on this point.

CUSHIONED
To meet its specifications, Basket4Ballers did not make any embellishments to the composition of the sole. Some tricks are sometimes not worth it, so we stuck to the classic while preserving the quality of the result with a rather rigid EVA foam midsole.
We have a feeling similar to Cushlon foam, rather responsive and effective on rebound, with a pleasant feedback on the front of the foot. The quality of cushioning is therefore a little less present.

TRACTION
The oversized multi-directional patterned rubber outsole is one with the ground across the entire surface of the foot. Its thickness and lateral contours make it a formidable weapon for executing the most incisive presses.

SUPPORT AND STABILITY
The overall support is rather very good and this is not a coincidence. TPU plates present at the eyelets reinforce the support of the forefoot once the shoe is properly laced. The ankle is logically freer to move, corresponding to the profiles of lively and impactful players for whom the “B4B Origins” is intended.
The layout of the sole and its generous contours, also at the rear, compensate for the absence of a carbon or plastic plate under the midfoot to also ensure good stability.

FINISHES AND LIFESPAN
We can first mention the quality packaging with a frame with “galactic” patterns and a great first: a box for each shoe, according to the colors chosen.
As for the shoe, the fairly low cut model has a mesh upper with a TPU complement. Basket4Ballers obviously had fun by dressing the upper with an imposing “B4B” logo, which can also be found on the tongue and under the heel. The inscription “Return the Game” is also part of the finishes, giving a touch of originality to the whole.
But what makes this B4B Origins special is its choice of “mixable” colors. Basket4Ballers in fact offers four dominant colors, pink, purple, green and blue. It's then up to everyone to draw their own pair, with a solid or mismatched color. Up to 16 combinations are then customizable. A rather effective way to stand out from the competition.
Lifespan should also be a positive point of the pair, well protected by TPU coatings in the forefoot, and considering the thickness of the outsole.

B4B ORIGINS VERDICT
Basket4Ballers took part in the game by following its dream, that of designing its own “performance” shoe and thus raising its brand alongside the major equipment manufacturers on the market. For this return to basics around this passion for sneakers, the French shop has equipped itself with a new promotional tool of choice, with a B4B Origins which ticks all the boxes.
Everything is there on a technical level to delight the most aggressive profiles with a sole that grips perfectly, generous lateral contours and a sole rigid enough to propel you on each support.
The design and patterns on the upper remain classic, but Basket4Ballers has been able to innovate with its original choice of colors. Its price also makes it an attractive product for the general public. At the origin of this 2024-2025 season, there will have been this B4B Origins, a UFO which perfectly launches the basketball exercise to come.
