ESPN now parts ways with journalist Zach Lowe

Surprises are multiplying at ESPN, the main American sports channel and preferred partner of the NBA. Because after the departure ofAdrian Wojnarowskiwho became a leader in the NCAA, is Zach Lowe who is leaving.

It was The Athletic who announced the newsexplaining that this dismissal is part of the economic policy launched by the big boss of “The Walt Disney Company”, Robert Iger.

Over the last two years, 8,000 people have been fired by ESPN, including Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson and Jalen Rose, whose salaries were considered too high.

It was obviously the same concern for Zach Lowe, when we talk about a seven-figure annual salary, or more than a million dollars. Too much for the leaders, even if the precise and detailed analyzes of the former of the former of Grantland in his articles, his podcasts and the sets of ESPN, were very appreciated.

But on the ESPN side, we prefer to increase Stephen A. Smith or Pat McAfeemagnets for viewers and advertisers with the strong and controversial opinions that they can create almost daily.

However, with the arrival of NBC and Amazon, Zach Lowe should not remain unemployed for very long.
