Derrick Rose has given up his entire salary to leave the Grizzlies

Will we see again? Derrick Rose in the NBA? If we ask ourselves the question, it is because the departure of the 2011 MVP of the Grizzlies, a few days before the start of the “training camp”, has the air of a farewell…

Especially since we learned today that it was at the request of the former Bulls leader that the Grizzlies released him.

According to Tim MacMahonfrom ESPN, Derrick Rose wanted to leave Tennessee so much that he agreed to give the Grizzlies his entire salary, namely $3.4 million. Of course, we can say that he has already earned more than $166 million in his career, just in salary, and that he should be able to survive.

But in the NBA, it's very rare for a player to simply write off a guaranteed amount.

With Derrick Rose cut, the Grizzlies now have 13 players under guaranteed contracts, and they have the option to sign two more players. Why not? Markelle Fultzstill a free agent…
