Larry Nance Jr. Eager to Work With Quin Snyder

Dejounte Murray sent to New Orleans this summer, Larry Nance Jr.he made the opposite journey when he arrived in Atlanta. He will thus wear his fifth jersey after those of the Lakers, Cavaliers, Blazers and Pelicans.

At almost 32 years old, and after nine seasons in the NBA, he is one of the most experienced players on this young Atlanta team, along with Bogdan Bogdanovic. The power forward must therefore establish himself as a mentor. “Larry and I talk a lot.”, already explains his new teammate Onyeka Okongwu.

For his part, the 2018 finalist with Cleveland has only one desire: to work with Quin Snyder, the Hawks coach.

“I'm really looking forward to it. Quin is a very smart guy. I was a huge fan of his when he was in Utah and since he's been in Atlanta.”confides Larry Nance Jr. “I'm looking forward to playing for him now and we'll get along well.”

A very young team

For what ? “I consider myself a player with great game intelligence and he also has a very important one”he replies. “The squad is exciting. It's very young, that's for sure. It's a team that will look to make some noise in the future.”

Before returning to the courts with his new team, the former Lakers player distinguished himself last weekend, at State Farm Arena and with Dyson Daniels and David Roddy, by distributing meals as part of the Hawks' “Million Meal Pack”, organized each year.

“There is no better way to introduce yourself to a community than by volunteering,” he assures. “This event is huge. A million meals for the people of Atlanta is massive. I’m happy to be a part of this, that this is my first outreach to the community. There will be many more and this is a great introduction.”
