Justin Holiday tested by Warriors

While most franchises have capped their rosters of 20 or 21 players for training camp, and some already have their 15 contracts guaranteed, the Warriors continue to look for the rare pearl. For now, the Warriors have 13 players under guaranteed contract, and therefore potentially two open spots.

Steve Kerr's staff has been multiplying tests for several weeks, and The Athletic announce that they have seen Justin Holiday and Nasser Little. The former is coming off an average season in Denver where he was tasked with making Bruce Brown forget. In the end, he only played 15 minutes on average for 4 points per game. The latter was cut by the Suns during the summer, and his defensive profile interests many teams. Younger than Holiday, he could bring some punch off the bench.

Our colleagues point out that every year, the Warriors do this. A few years ago, they invited Avery Bradley to their camp, but they finally opted for Gary Payton II. With the success that we know.

Last season, they had invited Rudy Gay, but they preferred to start the season with a squad of 14 players.
