Players of the week 2: A Kamara in flash mode

It was a no-brainer. After walking all over the Cowboys' defense, Alvin Kamara (RB, Saints) was logically named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Present on all fronts, he put the Texan defenders to the test with four touchdowns in total. If it's not his record (he scored six against the Vikings in 2021), his performance is still remarkable. It earned him his third Player of the Week title.

Alongside Kamara in the NFC are Jessie Bates (S, Falcons) on defense and Austin Seibert (K, Commanders) on special teams. The Atlanta safety was chosen over Aidan Hutchinson (DE, Lions) and his 4.5 sacks because of his big game against the Eagles. His interception in the final moments sealed Atlanta's victory over Philadelphia. Newly named a starter, Seibert took advantage of the opportunity to score seven field goals on seven attempts, which was all of Washington's points in the win over the Giants.

On the AFC side, James Cook (RB, Bills) is Alvin Kamara's favorite. With three touchdowns overall, Dalvin's brother helped his team get a great win against the Dolphins. Maxx Crosby (DE, Raiders) won his fifth defensive player of the week title, a franchise record. With two sacks and four tackles for loss in particular, he put a spanner in the works of Lamar Jackson's (QB, Ravens) attack. The Raiders came out with an almost unexpected win against the Ravens and Crosby was no stranger to that. Ka'imi Fairbairn (K, Texans) completed the march. His successful field goals from 56, 47, 59 and 53 yards helped break the deadlock for Houston, who had trouble getting close to the Bears' end zone.
