At 21, AJ Griffin is already considering ending his career!

He said to himself: motivated ” by his recent transfer to Rocketsdeclaring having ” things to prove ” in his native Texas, within a franchise ” Who [le] wanna ” actually. Except that, according to The Athletic, AJ Griffin might never evolve to Houstonsince he is actually thinking about ending his basketball career!

Selected in 16th position in the 2022 Draft, this young winger of barely 21 years old had not managed to impose himself in Atlanta (7.5 points and 1.9 rebounds), despite a promising rookie year. Finally transferred this summer by the Hawks, the son of Adrian Griffin now seems to no longer have his head in basketball and the Rockets would therefore already be preparing to see him leave their squad.

Like Tyrell Terry…

For the moment, the reasons for this surprising decision are not known and AJ Griffin would in any case imitate a player like Tyrell Terry who, himself, had chosen to retire prematurely from the courts because of anxiety disorders. Before returning to France during the summer, once he was better in his head.

Given the young age of the former Duke resident, this possibility cannot be ruled out in the future either, even if the situations are obviously distinct.
