Players of the week 1: Barkley and Mixon in force

Saquon Barkley (RB, Eagles) and Joe Mixon (RB, Texans) are clearly settling in well with their new teams. The Philadelphia running back was omnipresent in his team's victory over Green Bay in Brazil. The former Bengals player provided relief to CJ Stroud in the Texans' narrow victory over the Colts. This is the fourth time in their careers that Barkley and Mixon have received this award.

In the AFC, the Bills came out on top against the Cardinals. While the score (34-28) doesn't exactly flatter the defenses, one man stood out on Buffalo's side. Greg Rousseau (DE, Bills) had fun with 3 sacks on the elusive Kyler Murray (QB, Cardinals) in particular. Chris Boswell (K, Steelers) scored all of Pittsburgh's points in their 18-10 victory against the Falcons.

In NFC action, Bears sophomore Tyrique Stevenson (CB, Bears) came up big with an interception return for a touchdown to help Chicago pull ahead of the Titans in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Jake Moody (K, 49ers) converted six field goals and two extra points to help San Francisco beat the Jets.
