Angel Reese Assures There's No 'Hate' With Caitlin Clark

In a few weeks in the WNBA, Angel Reese And Caitlin Clark brought a breath of fresh air and significant media coverage. The two women have been crossing paths on the courts for a while now, and a rivalry has been born. A good thing for telling stories and making people want to follow careers.

It all started in 2023, during the NCAA final between the Tigers and the Hawekeys. It was the former who won the title and Angel Reese had made an impression with a gesture: a finger from the left hand on the right ring finger, to symbolize a championship ring.

Even though they met again in 2024, during the NCAA tournament, this time with a victory by Caitlin Clark and her teammates, that moment in 2023 remained.

“When you're in that moment, you don't realize how much it can change your life. Those six fingers literally changed my life, forever, it's crazy.”, she explains in his podcast.

“We will play on the same team one day, that's for sure”

Now in the WNBA, the Chicago Sky player assures that she is absolutely not at war with the Fever star. “We never had any beef. We trash talked each other in high school. That’s just the way we are. I think the fans, the fans in Iowa and now Indiana, are the way they are, they support her. I respect that.”

Even though, thinking of the fans who are stirring things up, she regrets that “sometimes it's very disrespectful”as well as the “death threats” of which she is a victim. “People found my address, followed me home”says the woman who has already set the single-season rebounding record in the WNBA.

To sum up, his rivalry with Caitlin Clark is purely sporting, not personal.

“I don't think she hates me and I'm sure she knows I don't hate her.”she said. “There is no hatred. We will play on the same team one day, that's for sure.”
