Rockets to enjoy new facilities

While some franchises prefer to hold their training camp far from their ties, the Rockets are very happy to stay in Houston. Why? Because Jalen Green's teammates will discover and enjoy their new facilities.

In recent years, the Rockets have made a habit of traveling to Honolulu or the Gulf Coast to prepare for the season, but this time they'll stay in Houston, and their new practice facility is a 10-minute drive from the Toyota Center.

Since this summer, players have been allowed to train there, and since Tuesday, they have even been doing a few “scrimmages” there. In a few days, management will come and settle in when the “office” part is finished.

Finally a real training center

According to the Houston Chroniclethe complex is built on an area of 7,000 m², and the Rockets will have spent around 95 million dollars for its construction, including 25 million just for the purchase of the land. There are two training fields, as well as weight and treatment rooms, and meeting rooms.

For the past 20 years, the Rockets have been practicing in an annex room at the Toyota Center, even holding their morning workouts there before games. Ime Udoka will have a real training complex this season.
