Since last night, we know 7 of the 8 teams qualified for the WNBA playoffs, since the Mercury and the Fever have won their ticket for the first round. For Phoenix, it is by winning against the Dream (74-66), while the teammates of Caitlin Clark simply took advantage of the defeats of the Dream, but also of the Sky against the Aces.
With a positive record (17v-16d), the Fever is therefore assured of finishing in the Top 8, and the Indianapolis franchise will return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016! This is the longest streak without playoffs in history. Incidentally, Clark and his partners are the 2nd team in history to reach the playoffs after starting the season with one victory in nine matches.

Currently sixth, the Fever had won only 5 games in 2022, then 13 in 2023. The takeover of Christie Sides, and the successive arrivals of Aaliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark, as number 1 of the Draft, put the franchise back on the right track. It should also be remembered that the team relies on two former number 1 of the Draft with Kelsey Mitchell (2018) and NaLyssa Smith (2022).
Less publicized than the Boston-Clark duo, Mitchelle is the team's top scorer with 19 points per game, followed by Clark (18.7 pts/m) and Boston (13.4 pts/m). The latter, Rookie Of The Year 2023, is the best rebounder with 9.0 rebounds per game.
