Gordon Herbert left the German national team after finishing fourth at the Olympics, and now he has to build his staff as the new coach of Bayern Munich. In a press releasethe Bavarian club has made official the arrival of three assistants: Josep Maria Berrocal , TJ Parker and his son Daniel Herbert.
The Spaniard Berrocal had been an assistant at Maccabi Tel Aviv for two years, and before that he had stints at FC Barcelona, Panathinaikos Athens and Baskonia Vítoria. Daniel Herbert, 29, was already assisting his father in the national team, and he learned the ropes at Crailsheim and Skyliners Frankfurt.
Two times French champion
Finally, TJ Parker played two years for Herbert in Paris, then he began his career as an assistant in 2013 as an assistant at Asvel, in the club chaired by his brother, Tony Parker. In the summer of 2020, he was appointed coach of the team, and he would win two titles in 2021 and 2022. After 17 consecutive losses in the Euroleague, he was fired last October.
Bayern also announced that Gordon Herbert had decided to keep Mihajlo Mitic, Ivan Pijanec and Emilio Kovacic.
