2024 Olympics | USA, best attack and defense in the group stages

Unsurprisingly, these are the UNITED STATES who dominate the statistical categories during the group stages of these 2024 Olympic Games. With 105.7 registered per match, Team USA is thus largely the best attack.

Behind them are Serbia (95.7), Germany (89.3), Canada (89.0) and… South Sudan (87.0).

If we use offensive efficiency instead, that is to say the number of points scored per possession, which thus takes into account the pace, the United States are still in the lead (125.8 points scored per 100 possessions) but only by a hair compared to Germany (125.2).

With 81.0 points scored per game, the France is only the 9th attack in the group stages, only ahead of Brazil, Greece and Puerto Rico. In terms of offensive efficiency, however, it is 6th (112.0 points scored on 100 possessions) but what is probably more problematic in the eyes of Vincent Collet is that it is only 7th in defensive efficiency (109.0 points conceded on 100 possessions).

In this sector, the United States is also first (99.6), ahead once again of Germany (103.3).
