Brook Lopez is not transferable for the Bucks

Without making any noise, the Bucks have strengthened themselves well this summer with the arrivals of Delon Wright (Heat), Taurean Prince (Lakers) and Gary Trent Jr. (Raptors). Three elements who will directly integrate Doc Rivers' rotation to support Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton on the outside.

On the other hand, management has decided not to touch its “frontcourt”, and the team will still rely on the Giannis Antetokounmpo – Brook Lopez pair under the panels, with the precious Bobby Portis coming off the bench. However, for a month, Brook Lopez's name has been circulating for a trade. But the Milwaukee GM is categorical, he will not budge.

“I don't normally discuss rumors and noise with the media, but I will say that because Brook is at the core of who we are, we have no intention of trading him.” warns Jon Horst. “Of course, he has value in the league. That’s to his credit. But we haven’t had any real conversations about trading Brook. There are teams that have a lot of interest in him. It’s my job to take calls, to receive calls, to have discussions, but Brook has been and will continue to be at the core of who we are.”

He's still making progress at 36!

Better still, the Bucks even hope that Robin's brother will finish his career in Wisconsin.

“I hope Brook retires in Milwaukee. That’s been the goal since we got him. His impact on our team defensively and rebounding is exceptional. He’s only gotten better. He’s not declining. In fact, he’s an anomaly in that he’s only gotten better. For Doc, who had the opportunity to spend time with Brook last year, Brook is unbelievable value. What he does defensively, rebounding, offensively and the space he gives us, especially Giannis, is unmatched.”
