Utah already parts ways with Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Darius Bazley

It's already the end of the Jazz adventure for Kenneth Lofton Jr. And Darius BazleyUtah has thus terminated the contracts of the two power forwards, both signed for three years in Utah, but via non-guaranteed contracts.

Their contracts thus had several key dates who guaranteed a portion of their salaries. One of those dates? July 25, 2024… The Jazz has therefore saved $400,000 on each player and gains two roster spots.

Darius Bazley, who was a promising player with the Thunder, never found playing time after being traded for Dario Saric to the Suns. He only played six games with the Jazz, accumulating 8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

For his part, Kenneth Lofton Jr. impressed the most when he had a game with 42 points and 14 rebounds during his first start in the NBA (during the last game of the regular season) with the Grizzlies. He will have played only 4 games with the Jazz, for 13.8 points and 5 rebounds on average.

It remains to be seen whether the two players will be able to find a place in the NBA by the time play resumes, or whether they will have to return to the G-League, where they played for much of last season.
