A new GM at the Wolves

While optimism is high about the definitive purchase of the franchise, with the arrival of Michael Bloomberg as an investor, the Wolves management has decided to rework its organizational chart. Strong man of the Minneapolis franchise, president Tim Connelly has decided to appoint a GM, and it is Matt Lloyd.

Arriving in 2022 as vice president of the sports part to support Connelly, he has a lot of experience with 13 years at the Bulls, notably as head of scouting, then 10 years at the Magic as vice president and assistant manager. He had even held the position of GM in 2017 during an interim.

A Chicago native, he started out in the mid-1990s as a video specialist for the Bulls' arena and the White Sox's stadium on game nights. After five years of video editing, he landed a job as the Bulls' press coordinator before making his mark in scouting and draft preparation.
