Brandon Ingram set to be traded?

Extended for $158 million four years ago, Brandon Ingram will now enter the final year of his contract, with a salary of 36 million for the 2024/25 season. The problem is that he cannot reach an agreement with the Pelicans to extend his contract, who this time do not want to offer him the maximum.

Under these conditions, both sides have every interest in working on an exchange and, according to Marc Steinthat's what's happening in Louisiana, things “intensifying” currently around the winger.

On the New Orleans side, the priority would be to transfer Brandon Ingram and then extend Trey Murphy IIIwhile adding size under the rim, in order to compensate for the departure of Jonas Valanciunas to the Wizards in order to balance the team around CJ McCollum, Dejounte Murray And Zion Williamson.

Now it remains to be seen who to deal with. The Kings seem the most likely landing spot, with the Sacramento franchise interested in a reinforcement. But Sacramento is also on the trail of Lauri Markkanen
