After Kyle Anderson, the Warriors are targeting Buddy Hield!

Kyle Anderson with the Wolves

Golden State was quick to accelerate its recruitment in the direction of arrivals after the emotional departure of Klay Thompson. The Warriors are about to offer themselves, one after the other, Kyle Anderson, then Buddy Hield to strengthen themselves. To do so, the Warriors will make two trades in order to bring in the former Swiss army knife winger of the Wolves and the serial shooter who will ultimately have spent only six months with the Sixers.

Minnesota's difficulties in finding a financial package to keep Kyle Anderson have therefore been confirmed. The former Spurs player will sign for three seasons and $27 million ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowskia price that is ultimately quite reasonable for an important piece of the Wolves' great season. Anderson will play the role of connector off the bench, in Golden State's moving attack. His experience within top-of-the-table teams will not be a luxury for the Warriors who want to start a new virtuous cycle for what will be the last years of Steph Curry's career.

The Splash Brother will be orphaned by his sidekick Klay Thompson, who left for Dallas, and whose trade will indirectly allow Anderson's arrival since the Bay franchise will send Minnesota the “trade exception”, the additional money generated in the trade with the Mavs. A future “swap” of a second round draft pick is also included in the deal. An important detail in the structure of this trade, highlighted by ESPN's salary cap specialist, a “sign-and-trade” can now only be carried out for a minimum of three seasons, but only the first season of the contract is fully guaranteed.

Curry – Hield, the two most prolific shooters in the NBA about to be teamed up

In addition to “Slo Mo” Anderson, Steph Curry should find another sharpshooter in the Bay Area with the expected arrival of Buddy Hield. Shams Charania of The Athletic mentions “serious discussions” for a trade between the Warriors and the Sixers, without mentioning the precise details for the moment. If the transaction goes through, Golden State will recover one of the most prolific outside shooters in the league since his Draft in 2016. It's simple, only Curry has made more 3-point shots over the period than Buddy Hield: 1,924 in 632 games at 40%, compared to 2,154 in 461 games at 41.3% for the All-Star point guard!

His ability to stretch defenses and his off-the-ball play should fit into a Klay Thompson-like role without fully compensating for the loss. He will at least provide an additional danger on the California backfield, with the signing of De'Anthony Melton, also from Philadelphia, and the expected progressions of Brandin Podziemski or Moses Moody.
