Charlotte plays time for Seth Curry

The arrival of Seth Curry in North Carolina was one of the great stories of the season for the Hornets. The Charlotte native thus returned to his stronghold but was only able to play eight matches before being withdrawn until the end of the season. The fault lies with an ankle injury contracted in early March.

The management of the Hornets, however, put Seth Curry's adventure on his land on hold by cutting him Friday evening, in the same way as JT Thor, whose 2024-2025 season was an option. The second year of Stephen Curry's brother's $4 million contract was not guaranteed, and Charlotte had until yesterday to make her choice. Tidjane Salaün's new team therefore took the opportunity to reduce its payroll, even if according to Adrian Wojnarowskithe two parties could very quickly reconnect, as soon as the “free agency” opens.

The Hornets and Seth Curry would indeed be interested in the idea of starting a new contract, undoubtedly staggered differently in order to allow Charlotte to maintain flexibility in terms of its payroll. We wouldn't be surprised if Stephen's brother signed a new two or three year contract, with a salary of less than four million dollars.
