Among the many “free agents” of the Sixers, there are Tobias Harris. Five years ago, management broke the bank to keep it: $180 million over five years! Clearly, he never really justified that salary, and it obviously won't be kept.
At almost 32 years old, and with an average of 17 points and 6 rebounds, the former Clippers winger can obviously be of great service, but he should not expect to land a big contract this summer.
According to SNY.com, two teams would keep a very close eye on him: the Mavericks and the Jazz. The first revealed their priority: extending Derrick Jones Jr. But if they do not succeed, Tobias Harris would be a very good pick for positions 3/4. On the condition that he agrees to play for a very low salary since the Mavericks only have, as it stands, a “mid-lever exception” at $5.2 million to offer.
The latter have more money, but the sporting project is much more vague. New strong man of the franchise, Danny Ainge blew up the group again in the middle of the season, and it is difficult to know where the Jazz are going. The arrival of John Collins did not bring much, and it is rumored that Walker Kessler could be traded.
Will Hardy's young group would greatly need an experienced player like Tobias Harris, capable of linking very attacking backs and Lauri Markkanen.
According to Chris Haynesthe Pistons, the Spurs and the Pelicans would also be among the interested teams.
