Jaylen Waddle gained more than 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons. The Dolphins decided to reward him according to his production.
According to NFL Media, the receiver signed a 3-year contract extension for $84.75 million, including $76 million guaranteed.
He thus becomes one of the five highest paid receivers in the league. In terms of guaranteed money, Waddle is trailed only by AJ Brown ($84M) and Amon-Ra St. Brown ($77M).
The 25-year-old is now signed with Miami until the end of the 2028 season.

Jaylen Waddle therefore lands a contract worthy of a star receiver while he is officially the second option in Miami, behind Tyreek Hill.
Still, his statistics speak for him. 1025 yards in 2021, 1356 in 2022 and 1014 in just 14 games last season. He also scored 18 times in three seasons.
The festival of big contracts is certainly not over on the receiving end. Ja'Marr Chase, who was selected just before Waddle in 5th position in the 2021 Draft, is also eligible for an XXL extension.
