A system worthy of the NFL for the Pacers

Aaron Nesmith failed to imitate Jaylen Brown by scoring a miraculous 3-pointer at the last second, to snatch overtime. The Celtics guard/winger saved his team during Game 1 of this conference final. His counterpart (and former teammate) did not have this honor for the Pacers during Game 3.

It's a shame because his shot was good, and the system would have been talked about if it was successful.

With 1.7 seconds left, Andrew Nembhard makes the throw-in while the other four Pacers form formation, like an NFL team. The rest seems to come straight from the US football league, with Myles Turner heading off in a straight line while Doug McDermott and Aaron Nesmith cross their paths behind.

A sort of double “slant”these 45° races made by the receivers, which really disrupted the Celtics defenders, Jaylen Brown losing Aaron Nesmith after hitting Derrick White…

“We’ve had this system for a long time” assures Rick Carlisle. “It’s a scheme designed by (assistant) Mike Weinar. We've used it a few times in recent seasons, and it's given us some good shots. If the same situation arises in the next match, we will have something a little different, hoping to get as open a shot. »
