Executive of the Year 2024 | Brad Stevens in the spotlight

If the Celtics were not honored in terms of individual awards, even though they flew through the regular season (64 victories and 18 defeats), they console themselves learning the choice of Brad Stevens as Leader of the Year 2024.

A coronation which suffers no dispute against Sam Presti (Thunder), Tim Connelly (Timberwolves) or Leon Rose (Knicks), both the president of Boston will not have been idle in recent months. Successor to Danny Ainge as head of recruitment, Stevens did not hesitate to recover players like Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, sacrificing players like Marcus Smart, Malcolm Brogdon, Grant Williams or Robert Williams to achieve his ends.

Strong choices but ultimately paying off, because the Celtics have perhaps never been so strong and armed to win this title which has eluded them since 2008. Elected “ Executive of the Year », Brad Stevens succeeds Monte McNair, rewarded last year for his work with the Kings.

Still a coach three years ago, without ever being Coach of the Year, the disciple of Danny Ainge (deservedly decorated in 2008) will not have taken long to establish himself among the elite of NBA managers.
